Maestro Rocco Romeo, Music Director of the National Capital Concert Band. has been on the Ottawa music scene for over 45 years performing in a wide variety of ensembles as a conductor, vocalist, lead trumpet, bass guitar, accordion and keyboards. Of note, he was a member of legendary Rock and Roll band Bruce and the Burgers for 25 years, an original member with The Stanley Clark Orchestra and performed in countless Latin dance bands.

Recently retired and  having worked as a music teacher in Ottawa area high schools since 1982, his stints have included Carleton University, Carleton Place, Glebe Collegiate, Ridgemont and Nepean High School. Over the years, Rocco's high school concert and stage bands  consistently performed at the highest level and received distinction for their technical accuracy and blend. These days, when the baton is not in hand, he can be found entertaining audiences with his rock group "Roccon".

Rocco's philosophy for musical excellence is simple; always include melody, never stop having fun, and make the commitment. Join me for a musical journey of classic jazz and dance charts.
